Docker Install

Prerequisite for Docker Installation-
  • User should have sudo or root access
  • Kernel version should be 3.10.0 or above(Version can be checked using command -> uname -r)
Commands for Docker installation-
  1. sudo yum update
2. sudo tee /etc/yum.repos.d/docker.repo <<-'EOF'
  [dockerrepo] name=Docker Repository
baseurl=https://yum.dockerproject.org/repo/main/centos/7/
enabled=1
gpgcheck=1
EOF
3. sudo yum install docker-engine
4. sudo systemctl enable docker.service
5. sudo systemctl start docker
6. sudo docker run --rm hello-world

Verify this text to confirm if docker installed successfully after last command run.
Hello from Docker!
